Austin PBS Originals

When I joined Austin PBS, several of our long-running programs were ready for a visual refresh. The challenge was to modernize their identities while maintaining the familiarity and equity they had built with Austin audiences.

Working with my team, I led the creative direction across several program rebrands, including Central Texas Gardener, Overheard with Evan Smith, and our newest program, Austin InSight. We developed new logos, refreshed color palettes, graphic systems, and on-air packages that gave each program a more contemporary and distinctive visual presence while creating a stronger connection to the Austin PBS brand.

The work was about more than giving each show a new look—it was about creating flexible visual identities that could work across broadcast, digital, social, and promotional materials, giving each program a cohesive brand to grow with.

Brand Refresh

After 30 Seasons on air, Central Texas Gardener was ready for a new look. The new brand look was inspired by the colors and shapes of the environments highlighted in the program itself.
